No. I handle the copywriting as part of the design process. We’ll have a chat about your business, your services, and what makes you different, then I write everything. If you’ve already got words you like, we can use those too.

Honest answer: it depends on your trade, your area, and how much competition there is. Some clients see local visibility within weeks, others take a few months. I won’t promise you page one overnight because anyone who does is lying. What I will do is build the site properly from day one so Google can actually find it.

Yes. Your site is built on WordPress, which is straightforward to use. Once the site is live, I’ll walk you through how to make basic changes like adding photos or updating your number. And if you’d rather not touch it, just text me what you need changed.

I can handle everything, or we can work with your existing setup if you already have a domain or hosting. If you need a new domain, the typical cost is £2 to £10 per year and I’ll sort it for you with no admin fee. All tiers include 6 months of free hosting.

Yes, I’ve got professional photography gear and can come to you. For most trade sites though, a mix of your own job photos and professional stock images works well and keeps costs down. We’ll figure out what makes sense.

You might not think so, but a blog is one of the most effective ways to get found on Google. A simple post like “How much does a new boiler cost in Kingston?” can bring in customers who are actively searching for your services. I can set it up and even write the first few posts for you.

If you want local SEO, Google review integration, and portfolio pages, that’s from £797. The important thing is that it pays for itself: one extra job a month from your website and you’ve covered the cost many times over.

WordPress. It powers over 40% of all websites on the internet, it’s the most flexible platform available, and it means you’re never locked into one developer. If I build your site on WordPress and you decide to work with someone else later, any WordPress developer can pick it up. Compare that to Wix or Squarespace where you’re stuck on their platform forever, or Yell’s website service where you lose everything if you cancel.

Facebook is great for staying in touch with existing customers, but it’s not a replacement for a website. Facebook pages don’t show up well in Google search results, you can’t control how they look, and you’re completely at the mercy of Facebook’s algorithm for who sees your posts. A website that you own will show up when someone searches “plumber in Kingston” or “electrician near Surbiton.” A Facebook page won’t.
